  8. CLISP is a Common Lisp implementation by Bruno Haible and Michael Stoll.
  9. It mostly conforms to the version of Common Lisp described by "Common LISP:
  10. The Language (1st edition)", with some additions described in "Common LISP:
  11. The Language (2nd edition)", including a CLOS subset.  CLISP runs on many
  12. microcomputers (including the Atari ST, Amiga 500-4000, most MS-DOS systems,
  13. and OS/2) as well as on Unix workstations (Linux, SunOS (SPARC), Irix (SGI),
  14. HP-UX (HP 9000/800), and others) and needs only 1.5 MB of memory.  CLISP
  15. includes an interpreter, a compiler, and (for some machines) a screen editor.
  16. German and English versions are available.
